Doping and women in sports

Abstract


: This essay aims to discuss the doping in feminine sport. The discussion in this work tells about the cultural barrier for the participation of women in sports, the male reserve, the diffusion of doping in sport, and the transformations in the body model of women’s athletes. To conclude, we present some assumptions about doping in feminine swimming, from some interviews with three olympic athletes, participants in Munich (1976), Seoul (1988), and Sidney (2000) Modern Olympic Games.
